Social Studies 5th This week students will begin their study of the 13 Original Colonies. We will begin with the Middle and New England Colonies. STANDARD: SS.H.1.6-8.MC. Use questions generated about individuals and groups to analyze why they, and the developments they shaped, are seen as historically significant SS.CV.3.5. Compare the origins, functions, and structure of different systems of government. Social Studies 6th This week students will study Ancient Chinese culture, Confucius, and the legend of Mulan. SS.CV.3.5. Compare the origins, functions, and structure of different systems of government. SS.G.2.6-8.LC. Explain how humans and their environment affect one another. The planet’s systems interact over scales that range from microscopic to global in size, and they operate over fractions of a second to billions of years. These interactions have shaped Earth’s history and will determine its future. (MS-ESS2-2) Complex and microscopic structures and systems can be visualized, modeled, and used to describe how their function depends on the relationships among its parts, therefore complex natural structures/systems can be analyzed to determine how they function. (MS-LS1-2) Order your loved ones a Ray t-shirt, hoodie and/or car magnet to show your Ray School pride! All sizes - both youth and adult - are now available. Email or text a photo of your order form to [email protected] by Friday, December 11th to and we’ll pull your gear from the school and arrange a convenient time for you to pick it up!
