Second Step Theme: Taking Others' Perspectives Reading This week's reading Log's will be due Monday 2/5. Students are expected to read for 30 minutes every night. Students will write a summary about their reading that evening. Math Students are studying how to enlarge a picture on a coordinate grid, shading grids to solve decimal addition and subtraction problems, and reviewing whole number addition algorithms to use them to add decimals. Monday- Home links 4-10 Tuesday- Home links 4-11 Wednesday- Home links 4-12 Thursday- Home links 4-13 Social Studies Students will differentiate between Patriots and Loyalists and the Boston Tea Party. Every Friday we study current events. Join us for a night out at The Promontory on Thursday February 1, 2018 from 6-8 pm featuring a performance by Bethany Pickens Trio! Your $40 advance ticket includes beer, wine and light appetizers. Child care will be provided by Hyde Park Neighborhood Club (HPNC) from 5:45-8:30 pm for $20/child + $10/sibling, including dinner and fun! Please note that the day following the event, Friday Feb 2, is a non-attendance day for students. Math Students are studying Decimal place value, representing decimals through thousandths, representing decimals in expanded form, and comparing and ordering decimals.
