This week students will study Native American tribes and cultures. This includes the Iroquois and Cahokia Mounds. On Fridays we study current events. STANDARD: SS.H.1.6-8.MC. Ray School has worked diligently with CPS Leadership and the Chicago Department of Public Health to create athletic guidelines that will allow Ray students in grades 5-8 to safely participate in a cross country running program this fall. During the season, each participating school will conduct practices and host two intrasquad school meets––one for students in 5th/6th grades and one for students in 7th/8th grades.
The regular season at season at Ray will begin October 14th and conclude on October 27th. If your time qualifies, you will advance to a regional meet on November 1st, 7th, or 8th. Practice will be in the field/on the Walk-a-Thon path in the east playground of Ray School. If you would like to participate, you must complete:
