About
My name is Anna Erickson and I will be your child’s 5th grade teacher this year. I will be teaching homeroom math and reading, and social studies classes for 5th grade. Your student will also see Ms. Kellogg for Science and English Language Arts. I am delighted to have your child in my class this year. I am looking forward to a very successful year and I know you are too. I have high expectations for your child, and I will do all that I can to help your child achieve those expectations.
I have been a teacher at Ray School since 2016. I hold a bachelor’s degree in history and education, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I attended Northeastern Illinois University for additional coursework. I have experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students. I am a lifelong Chicagoan and attended CPS elementary and high schools. At Ray, I have coached soccer, partnered with the Chicago Metro History Fair, and partnered with the Ray PTO as a teacher representative. I grew up on the north side of Chicago, live on the west side, and teach on the south side! I guess you can say I am a true Chicagoan! :) Ray Mission The mission of Ray School is to provide a rich academic experience for our culturally, racially, and socio-economically diverse student body. Teachers and staff work collaboratively with parents to instill in our students a life-long love of learning. |
